Match Report: Henry Kwesi’s Strike Earns Apostle Third Straight Victory In DOL
Sunyani based Young Apostles FC recorded their third consecutive win of the 2022/23 football season with a priceless triumph over regional rivals Wamanafo Mighty Royals.
The league leaders shook off early threats from the Dormaa based host to pick their third straight win of the season.
Having recorded it’s first away win in the opening day of the season, Young Apostles raced into a deserved lead through the lethal Francis Baffuor Addae.
It was the least the visitors deserved after some telepathic start to the season.
Complete teamwork between the attacking machinery of the visitors left the defensive unit of the host in tatters and Francis prod home the opening goal of the game.
The host quickly rallied back into the game and levelled the scores at 1-1.
Kyeremah Bismark pulled parity for his team after some moments of dominance in the game .
Inspired by their honeymoon start to the season , the visitors restored their lead through Henry Kwasi to reflect their utter control of the game.
At 1-2 and with time still to play, the visitors could have nailed the win with more goals but for desperate defending and world class goalkeeping from the host’s goalkeeper.
It ended 1-2 and ensured Apostles head into match day four as the only club in the Northern belt to have won all three matches so far.
